red-smiling-tc Future Event Ideas-

These are ideas I have in mind for the Future.

This Nebraska plan still could be a planned event or broken up into single events for the future.  Not sure.

Leave our farm, in western Iowa,  drive 1 hr. 30min. to  Stratigic Air Command & Areospace Museum; http://sacmuseum.org/,  then camp right across the road a Eugene T. Mahoney State Park; http://outdoornebraska.gov/mahoney/

Drive 2 hr.s 16min. to Pioneer Village, in Minden, NE. ; http://pioneervillage.org/ ; We will visit Pioneer Village Museum, and go to the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument; http://archway.org/    Staying here two nights at SRA Kearney State Park  as alternative to Minden Campground (train passes right through the park every 2hrs.)   from here we…

Drive 1 hr. to Lexington Nebraska and stop at Heartland Museum of Millitary Vehicles (HMMV)  http://heartlandmuseum.com/index.php from here we go to…

North Platte, NE. to stay at I-80 Lakeside Campground; https://i80lakesidecampground.wordpress.com/  for 2 nights, go to the Golden Spike Tower & tour; http://goldenspiketower.com/ this is Union Pacific’s rail yard.  Its the largest Train Yard in the world.  Also you can visit Buffalo Bill Cody’s Ranch Historical state park..  Staying here two nights.  Then…

Get up leave North Platte, and drive an 1 hr. & 10min. to Ogallala State park;  http://outdoornebraska.gov/lakeogallala/ .  things to do here; visitors-center , http://outdoornebraska.gov/lakemcconaughy/  etc……

Stay here two nights, sit socialize and enjoy company & the view.  leave next day.

Cost to attend per couple for visiting each museum above and campsites, with Nebraska park permit, would cost approximately $300 per couple.

based off of 2016 prices

We spent 2013, & 2014 in Iowa. We are in Arkansas this summer 2015, trying to pick a place in Minnesota for 2016, then maybe rotate between the 3. I started this for the people who live in the Middle Region of the United States. It costs to much to drive to the East coast for a Truck Camper Rally, or Jamboree. So I chose to move it around a little in the Middle of the country so people from the North don’t have to travel all the way to Arkansas, and same for those in the south don’t have to go all the way to the north. But It is still closer than driving all the way to the ocean. and everyone has so much fun with meeting new people and the events that you won’t mind driving all the way to Northern Arkansas. its a Blast!!!!!!!!!
